It's not uncommon for people to come to an awakening moment when they begin to start living a healthier life. For many people this means eating better foods, exercising and even going the distance and drinking distilled water.
These are all good things, right? Well, in this case, the third option of consuming distilled water is not a healthy choice at all.
Wait. Did you hear that?
It was the collective gasp of millions of health fanatics disagreeing with that last statement. Just how in the world could drinking distilled water be bad for you? After all, haven't all the health gurus told us that distilled water is the best, most healthy water in all the world? Yes, they have been perpetuating this lie for some time. But the fact remains, distilled water is not good as a regular source of hydration for your body.
Why Distilled Water is Bad
Distilled water sucks! Now, before you think I'm making an unjust, personal call against drinking distilled water, let me finish. Distilled water sucks… nutrients and minerals from your body. You see, when water is distilled (heated to high temperatures), this unnatural process literally strips the water of its molecular make-up.
Yes, bad things are removed from the water, but so are good elements. And the end result is an aggressive water that acts like a sponge, sucking up everything, good or bad, that it comes in contact with. That means that a regular habit of drinking water that's been distilled can literally suck your body dry of key nutrients and minerals.
Doesn't sound like the healthy hydration source it's been made out to be after all, does it?
Distilled water can be used during periods of cleansing. But only if those periods are very short and monitored closely. The fact that distilled water drains the body of good and bad elements, can be beneficial, as it rapidly speeds up the cleansing process. However, you should have some experience with body cleansing before you try to add distilled water to the process. If you begin drinking distilled water excessively during your cleansing, you could end up doing a lot more harm than good.
The Carbon Dioxide Factor
Another thing that you should know about drinking distilled water, relates to what we've already covered. Since distilled water is ravenous and indiscriminate, it sucks up carbon dioxide, like a sponge. This means that when distilled water is exposed to carbon dioxide, there's a good chance that the water will become infused with it. When you drink distilled water that's heavy in carbon dioxide, you make your entire system very acidic, which can lead to many other serious health conditions.
As you can see, when it comes to drinking distilled water, there's more to it than meets the eye. You will be much better off by avoiding distilled water, and finding other, healthier resources for hydrating your body. Eating a diet rich in organic fruits and vegetables, alone, provides more than enough healthy hydration for most people. And this kind of diet won't suck your body dry of the nutrients and minerals that it needs to stay in optimal health, like distilled water does.
