I have been using fish oil for a few years based on the common belief that it might be beneficial to my health. I knew little concerning the hidden facts about the potentially harmful fish oil side effects at that time. I just trusted the natural health experts who claimed that fish oil is of the utmost importance to my health.
My attitude totally shifted when I conducted my own research. I came across some astounding facts regarding the truth about fish oil. I immediately stopped using it as a supplement, and I have not done so since that day.
Main Stream Is Only Guessing About Fish Oil's Health Benefits
I discovered that the experts who tell you about fish oil's supposedly positive health effects were only guessing that it works. Fish oil is worthless at best and harmful at worst.
Contrary to what you are told about the supposed positive health benefits of fish oil and omega 3, here are the true facts:
- Fish oil worsens blood sugar in diabetics.
- Fish oil does not stop thickening of the arterial wall in atherosclerosis. But in fact, the artery wall gets thicker (worse) with fish oil ingestion.
- Fish oil significantly decreases the effectiveness of the immune system, increasing the risk of infections and cancer development.
- Fish oil does absolutely nothing significant to decrease arterial inflammation.
- Fish oil causes brain damage in adults and infants.
Do Your Research and Don't Waste Your Hard Earned Money
Everyone must keep taking caution when it comes to any supplement. Do your research. Do not blindly take supplements without good general research with regular updates and follow-ups.
That is to say, do not waste your money on fish oil. The fish oil side effects are too much of a danger that it is worth taking a second, more thorough look at fish oil. Fish oil is basically worthless and may even be hazardous to your health.
Instead consume organic olive and coconut oil which will deliver what fish oil only promises. Coconut and olive oil are the only oils that are really safe. If you regurarly eat eat coconut oil you will be free of heart disease and cancer.

Do you believe it makes a difference depending on the type of fish or whether the fish that the oil comes from is safe to eat?
I don’t take fish oil supplements, but eat fish deemed safe by the National Seafood Guide put out by the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Hi Alison,
I don’t think it makes a difference. I don’t consider fish (both wild and farm-raised) safe due to the ever increasing heavy-metal contamination. Another problem is that fish often contains far too many omega-3 series derivatives.
This is one of the main reasons that consuming fish does nothing to prevent cancer, as evidenced by Japan’s skyrocketing cancer rate.
