Studies have shown that the more minerals in "mineral water," the more harmful it is to the body because the minerals found in soil and water are inorganic (inorganic minerals).
Inorganic minerals are non-carbon based (rock sand), and the body cannot metabolize them. Conversely, organic minerals are vibrant, healthy minerals found in plants.
The inanimate minerals (inorganic) and other waste products accumulate in the connective tissue between blood vessels and cells. This accumulation interrupts the free flow of blood between blood vessels and cells. When this occurs, there is a lack of much-needed and bio-available nutrients in cells. Only specific plants can convert non-living and inorganic minerals into body-absorbable minerals, namely through a process called chelation.
During chelation, inorganic minerals in the body are surrounded by a ring of amino acids and then transformed into an organic form. In calcium chelation, for example, amino acids convert inorganic calcium into calcium lactate. Amino acids are organic building blocks and can be easily utilized in the organism. That is another reason why plant food is so important for us.
Accumulation of Inorganic Minerals
In order to compensate for this imbalance of too many inorganic minerals in mineral water or tap water (coffee, tea, etc.) in the body’s cells, the body must increase blood pressure. If this increase in blood pressure exceeds a reasonable level, anti-hypertensive medications are typically prescribed.
Through the prescription process, the mineral deficiency gets worse because the cause was not eliminated. If a person continues drinking mineral and tap water (coffee, tea, soda pop, etc.), the accumulation of inorganic minerals in the body becomes greater and greater, thus causing the blood pressure to continue to rise.
Further compounding the problem is the fact that inorganic minerals cannot penetrate the cell wall and therefore remain outside the cells. This leads to a water loss in the cells—also a main factor of many diseases.
Water is a productive vehicle to free the body of waste products and pollutants. Water full of inorganic minerals is not able to control other minerals and waste products and pollutants are not washed out. This can only be done with pure, mineral-poor, "unsaturated" water.
Read The Label Before You Buy Your Water
Until recently, drinking mineral water high in minerals was thought to be healthy and healing, mostly because the difference between organic and inorganic minerals and the difference between ‘right-’ and ‘left-handed’ water was unknown.
Compare the content of the different minerals in “mineral water” the next time you visit your local supermarket. Only buy water low in minerals! The total dissolved solids (TDS) figure should not be more than 20mg/l.

Hi Boro.
I guess ‘tap water’ and ‘mineral water’ is off my list of drinkable water now. What type of water do you suggest I be drinking…there are so many types to choose from (ex. sparkling water, purified water, ionized water, spring water…).
Any thoughts on the best water to drink that I can buy at my local grocery?
Thanks,
Daniel
KNOW YOUR WATER
Hi Daniel,
I think it’s needless to say that you will need to do your research on what is available in your place. It’s crucial for your health to know
your water. That said, the best you can do is to find a spring and collect your own water.
Here is a great source for finding springs:

If you can’t do this then you will have to go for bottled water. However, you should not assume that just because you purchase water in a bottle that it is necessarily any better, purer, or safer than most tap water. If you buy your water then make sure that you adhere to the following:
- Must come from natural source and be free of harmful bacteria and pollution
- Bottled at the source and is treated only minimally (if at all)
- TDS: < 20mg/l
- Nitrate: < 4mg/l
- Only GLASS bottles. Plastic bottles distribute pollutants that disrupt the hormonal balance in our bodies, causing fertility, cell, organ, and tissue damage.
Trust this helps.
